A Clarkson Enterprises spokesperson addresses the public to assuage any fears. “Rest assured, with Palimpsest in operation, the world has never been safer.”

An explosion, the third disaster in as many years, kills 245 workers. Erik Clarkson and Dr. Tala Herst express their deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.

The US Government issues a warrant to inspect The Clarkson Center of Particle Physics for safety and regulation. Erik Clarkson argues his right as an independent contractor.

A whistle blower claims Edward Clarkson refused to replace a faulty nitrogen tank, resulting in a fatal spill. Clarkson Enterprises denies these claims and allows Nebraska state government officials to inspect the facility.

A Nebraskan team deems the project and facilities to be within government regulations.

Investigative journalist Hiro Sato is found dead. His death is linked to his investigation into Japanese Internment Camps.

Dr. Tala Herst makes a rare public statement and addresses the American public and government. “We hear your concerns. Palimpsest Project and Clarkson Enterprises pursue peace and safety, not anxiety and hostility. We cannot continue our research if it continues to cause such distress, so we are suspending Palimpsest 1 for the foreseeable future. We have secured government permission and regulation to continue research under the watchful eye of the nuclear physics department, and all of our findings thus far have been turned over to the appropriate authorities. It is our hope that we can prove the good this research can do and continue forward with mutual faith and trust.”

The Palimpsest Collider is converted into nuclear particle research and touted as groundbreaking in clean energy synthesis.

Erik Clarkson steps down as CEO of Clarkson enterprises, citing differences in company vision.

Dr. Tala Herst announces her supposed retirement in the Appalachian Mountains where she intends to live out the rest of her life with her grandchildren. This claim is later proved false.

The Lambda Collider operates in secrecy under Dr. Tala Herst and successfully produces misplaced particles, furthering evidence for Black Matter.

Due to restricted resources, Dr. Tala Herst authorizes the Lambda Collider to run multiple experiments at the same time.
- APR9
Muon particles collide in the main chamber of the Lambda collider while a neutrino beam is in operation. The neutrino oscillations behave chaotically, jumping back and forth between light and dark matter. Within seconds, this back and forth knits together one reality with another. The resulting reaction creates a rupture within the facility that exponentially expands and swallows fifteen square miles over the course of 24 hours.

The National Guard and United States military is deployed to the site. A perimeter and quarantine is established. President Frederick Mason declares a state of emergency.
- APR11
The rupture continues growing and missing person numbers soar into the tens of thousands. The first dimensional anomalies are officially documented. Senator Alea Marks suggests dropping an atomic bomb on the infected area.
- APR12
An interview of an unnamed girl who survived the rupture goes international as the world looks on in horror. The Lambda Project is uncovered as the source of the rupture.

After stretching across nearly 50 square miles, the rupture mysteriously stops expanding. The world waits with bated breath to see what happens next.

The number of missing persons and casualties continues to increase as investigations into the disaster begin.
- APR17
Nebraska governor arrested after revealing government involvement in the secret Lambda Collider experiments. President Mason denies federal involvement. “[The Federal Government] had no idea what was happening until it was too late.”

The Lambda Trials begin.

13 government officials and 26 civilians are indicted on charges of treason and terrorism - including Nebraska governor, Arthur Mills, former CEO Erik Clarkson, and the presumed deceased Dr. Tala Herst.

A nationwide vigil is held for the victims of the rupture.
- OCT27
A full expose on the rupture is released to the public. It attempts to explain what happened and the possible results. Meanwhile, scientists and the military struggle to contain the anomalies and unpredictability. President Frederick Mason releases a statement, “This is an unprecedented disaster of incomprehensible magnitude, but this is not the first time America has been tested. This is not the end, my friends. This is simply another trial humanity will overcome.”
